5/04/09 - I was watching Logan in Lacrosse this week...we were playing on the Vineyard ( Road Trip !!! ) and he was having a blast, he did well and got dumped on his butt twice. I got a picture of the second hit ! Hahaha !! So when he came off the field after the game we were talking...it's been a tough adjustment to the U15 league for him, but I wanted to tell him how much better he is doing. He said he isn't any good, I stopped him and said "you are, and that is nonesense". What does he say " Um, Papa.. I thought you want us to be humble?"...what a wise guy :) Then he said "I fell twice." and he showed me his battle scars...so I said " Fell??? Ha, you got knocked on you butt! and I have the pictures to prove it!" He laughed at me and agreed...hmm where did he get his "wise guy" side from :) I will say...watching him with all those 15 year old kids...he looked so much older now. It's sad to me that they grow up so fast :(

5/11/09 - As with all my children this week, Logan too showed me why I am blessed with such amazing, kind souls for children. The evening/night at the hospital was not only long and tedious, but also impactful as he fully understands why we were there. Yet through it all he tried to keep the whole evening light... whether it was skipping hand-in-hand with Morgan, Cam, and myself across the parking lot... or telling silly jokes at dinner to keep us laughing. He knew that it was a time to just make others feel good and less stressed...then when we finally left the hospital, we were driving home and he asks if he can change the music on my Zune Player. I said "as long as it's something easy as I need to relax"... so he is fidgiting with it and I said "not to loud" and Logan goes "don't worry Papa, I will find something perfect"...and he did. He put on the music that is so very relaxing to me, The Last of the Mohicans soundtrack...as soon as it started I turned to him and smiled... He smiled back knowing he did well....

5/17/09 - Great week for Logan on the grade front ! All his teachers got back to me this week and he has put forth the effort he was so capable of and brought his grades back up to "honors" level again ! I knew he could do it, he just got a little lazy...hmm maybe distracted is more like it, you know...girls do that to us boys :) But I was happy reading those emails. When I told him I "heard" from his teachers I tried to be the "dissapointed" Papa and make it sound like it was bad. He laughed and said " Papa.. I have a 91 average in Science and am doing very well in the other classes... don't give me that!" haha, he knew I was going to keep on him about this! Lacrosse is going well this week, they won again and he seems to be finally adjusting to the level it's played at. Cam picked Domo for Logan this week...it was fun to do !
